BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its Athlete of the Week award winners in basketball and hockey on Monday. Student-athletes from Gustavus, Saint Benedict, Saint John's and St. Olaf claimed the Conference's weekly honors for Feb. 5-11, 2018.

The winners of the latest Athlete of the Week awards are listed below, along with details on their award-winning performances.

The MIAC Athlete of the Week awards are nominated and selected each week by the Conference's sports information directors. Transitioning from the winter to spring seasons, team sports (basketball, hockey) will be recognized on Monday afternoons, with individual sports (tennis, indoor track and field) announced on Tuesday afternoons.

MIAC Men's Basketball Player of the Week

St. Paul, Minn. | Cretin Derham Hall

Junior forward Frank Delaney averaged 14.5 points, 6.0 rebounds and 5.5 assists as St. Olaf extended its consecutive win streak to nine games. Delaney's efficient play helped the Oles defeat MIAC Playoff-bound teams in Augsburg and St. Thomas last week, as St. Olaf locked up the No. 2 seed in the process.

Niki Fokken
College of Saint Benedict

Oronoco, Minn. | Pine Island

Senior post Niki Fokken averaged 18.0 points, 7.5 rebounds and 2.5 blocks to lead CSB to a pair of wins last week, punctuated by a 22-point, seven-rebound effort in a Senior Day win against Augsburg on Saturday. Fokken shot nearly 60 percent from the field and went 4-for-4 from the line as Saint Benedict secured its first 20-win season since the 2012-13 campaign.

Andrew Lindgren
Saint John's University

Andrew Lindgren posted a .957 save percentage as Saint John's defeated St. Thomas in a pair of games over the weekend for the Johnnies' first sweep of their rivals since the 2004-05 season. Lindgren held the Tommies to a single goal in each game and now leads the MIAC with a 1.89 goals-allowed average, .931 save percentage and .750 winning percentage on the season.

MIAC Women's Hockey Athlete of the Week
Amanda DiNella
Gustavus Adolphus College

Oakbrook Terrace, Ill. | Willowbrook

Amanda DiNella allowed only one goal in a two-game series at Concordia as Gustavus swept the Cobbers over the weekend. DiNella logged her sixth shutout of the season in a 3-0 win on Friday and followed that up with 16 saves in Saturday's 4-1 victory. She leads the MIAC in both wins (14) and minutes (1199:04) this season.
