MIAC Feature Stories

Though the MIAC is first and foremost known for the quality of its intercollegiate athletic competitions, it has an abundance of compelling storylines off the field as well. The MIAC prides itself on telling the stories of its member institutions and their student-athletes, coaches, administrators, teams and fans to promote the conference's balance between athletics and academics, and recognize the individuals that help make the MIAC more than just an athletic conference.

The MIAC's feature stories, which began in 2010-11, are archived below in chronoligical order. In 2011-12, the MIAC Profiles of Excellence, written by longtime MIAC contributor Rich Mies, joined the Friday Feature series to honor the league's outstanding student-athletes. In 2016-17, the conference added the MIAC D.I.G. Equality series by Assistant Director Sheridan Blanford, which celebartes diversity, inclusion and gender equity in the conference.
