BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Three student-athletes from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) have been selected as nominees for the 2017 Allstate AFCA Good Works Team.

Bethel linebacker Josh Dalki (Minnetonka, Minn.), Saint John's wide receiver Will Gillach (Lindstrom, Minn.) and St. Thomas tight end Matt Christenson (Nicollet, Minn.) are among the 146 student-athletes from Division I, II, III and NAIA schools nominated for the honor.

The Good Works Team was established in 1992 to recognize a select group of college football players who made a commitment to service and enriching the lives of others while maintaining academic and athletic excellence.

The final roster of 22 players (11 from NCAA Football Bowl Subdivision and 11 from NCAA Football Championship Subdivision, Divisions II, III and the NAIA) will be unveiled in September. A special voting panel consisting of former Allstate AFCA Good Works Team members and prominent college football media members will select the 2017 Good Works Team.
