BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced its Athlete of the Week award winners for tennis on Tuesday. Student-athletes from Carleton and Gustavus claimed the Conference's weekly honors for March 20-26, 2018.
The MIAC Athlete of the Week awards are nominated and selected by the Conference's sports information directors. Throughout the spring season, team sports (softball, baseball) Athletes of the Week will be recognized on Monday afternoons, with individual sports (tennis, outdoor track and field) announced on Tuesday afternoons. The winners of the latest Athlete of the Week awards are listed below, along with details on their outstanding performances.

MIAC Men's Tennis Athlete of the Week
Gustavus Adolphus College
Sioux Falls, S.D. | O'Gorman
Tommy Entwistle won both his singles and doubles matches against No. 9-ranked Washington University-St. Louis, helping the Gusties defeat the Bears for the first time since March 16, 2002. Entwistle and doubles partner Chase Johnson won 8-6 at No. 2 doubles before Entwistle clinched the match for Gustavus with a third-set breaker in singles play.
MIAC Women's Tennis Athlete of the Week
Kristina Conrad helped Carleton go 3-1 against a tough schedule during spring break. Conrad went 2-2 in singles and 3-1 in doubles play, with both singles losses coming in super tiebreakers against Division II foes, while adding a crucial victory in the 5-4 win over No. 32-ranked UW-Whitewater. Her doubles included victories over both D-II challengers.
