Four MIAC players were named to D3football.com's Team of the Week.

BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Four Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) football players have been named to the latest D3football.com Team of the Week, presented by Scoutware, for their performances on the field this past Saturday. Among Tuesday's honorees were St. Thomas running back Josh Parks, Saint John's wide receiver Will Gillach and safety Max Jackson, and Carleton cornerback Travis Brown. The MIAC has had seven different football players named to D3football.com's Teams of the Week this season.

Brown (So. | St. Michael, Minn. | St. Michael-Albertville) picked off two passes in a 36-34 win at Augsburg on Saturday. Both plays were pivotal, as his first interception came in the end zone with the score tied 7-7, preventing an Auggie touchdown, while his second turned into a 39-yard pick-six to keep Carleton on top. Brown finished the day with seven tackles, six solo, and three additional pass breakups.

Gillach (Sr. | Lindstrom, Minn. | Chisago Lakes) turned 14 completions into an SJU-record 256 yards and two scores in a 40-20 win against then-No. 3 St. Thomas. The 14 receptions were the most by a Johnnie since Blake Elliott caught 15 against Bethel on Nov. 8, 2003 - John Gagliardi's record-breaking 409th collegiate victory.

Jackson (Sr. | St. Paul, Minn. | Cretin-Derham Hall) scooped up a St. Thomas fumble at the Johnnies' one-yard line and returned it 99 yards for a touchdown to seal an SJU victory. The momentum-shifting fumble return for a touchdown tied the longest in school history. He tied for the team lead with nine tackles (five solo) and broke up two passes in the game while scoring his Saint John's record fourth career defensive touchdown in the process.

Parks (Sr. | Chisago Lakes, Minn.) had touchdown runs of 92 and 60 yards and rushed 22 times for 256 yards in the Tommies' loss at Saint John's on Saturday. Parks' three touchdowns now give him 35 in the last three seasons, while his 256 yards is a new career-high.
