BLOOMINGTON, Minn. -- Macalester College defender Jackson White has been named to the Google Cloud Division III Men's Soccer Academic All-America Second Team, the College Sports Information Directors of America (CoSIDA) announced on Tuesday.

White (Danville, Calif. | San Ramon Valley) has been a three-year starter for the Scots and led all Macalester field players in minutes while starting all 20 games in 2018. In the classroom, the junior has maintained a 4.00 grade-point average as an economics and applied mathematics and statistics major. He is Macalester's fifth men's soccer player to be named an Academic All-American and the Scots' first since 2011.

Student-athletes must have a cumulative grade-point average of at least 3.30 and be a starter or contributor to be considered for Academic All-District and All-American accolades. White and the other 32 honorees on the 2018 Division III Men's Soccer Academic All-America teams were selected in voting by the members of CoSIDA.
