St. Paul, Minn. -- The Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) announced the 2008 MIAC Men's Tennis Awards today, May 1, 2008.

The 2008 Arthur Ashe Award was given to Gustavus Adolphus College senior Andy Bryan. The award annually recognizes a senior tennis student-athlete with outstanding sportsmanship and  exemplary athletic, academic, and humanitarian accomplishments.

Carleton's Stephan Zweifel was honored with the 2008 MIAC Men's Tennis Coach of the Year award after leading the Knights to a second place finish in the MIAC and an 8-1 record.

As part of a conference-wide sportsmanship initiative, the MIAC announces the second annual All-MIAC Sportsmanship team for men's tennis. Members of the All-MIAC Sportsmanship team are selected by their coaches and teammates as individuals who demonstrate ideals of positive sportsmanship both on and off the field of competition.
