BLOOMINGTON, Minn. – Four Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC) women's basketball programs are receiving national attention in the latest Top 25 polls, released on Tuesday.

St. Thomas (2-1) is ranked seventh in the nation by the Women's Basketball Coaches Association (WBCA) and 11th in NCAA Division III by this week. After falling to undefeated No. 10/17 Bowdoin (4-0) in New York 10 days ago, the Tommies have returned to their winning ways, topping George Fox University (then No. 12, now No. 21), 65-57, in the UST home opener on Sunday.

Gustavus (3-0) moved up from No. 16 to No. 12 in the Poll and from No. 22 to No. 19 in the WBCA rankings this week. The Gusties logged 22 steals in the team's most recent victory over Martin Luther on Monday – the program's highest single-game steal total since 2007.

Two more MIAC teams are receiving votes in the latest Poll as well. A home victory over George Fox last Saturday boosted the resume of the 3-1 Bethel Royals, while 5-0 Saint Benedict is putting together an impressive non-conference showing of its own. Both teams have one more non-conference matchup this week before squaring off against each other in the MIAC opener on Saturday.
