BLOOMINGTON, Minn. - Three of the six selections for the latest D3hockey.com Team of the Week hail from the Minnesota Intercollegiate Athletic Conference (MIAC). St. Thomas goalie and reigning MIAC Women's Hockey Athlete of the Week Kenzie Torpy joined Gustavus forward Allie Stanger and Hamline forward Molly Garin as Team of the Week selections on Wednesday afternoon.

Garin (Mound, Minn. | Holy Family) set up the first two goals in a 3-2 win at St. Kate's on Friday before scoring two of her own in a 6-1 victory over the Wildcats on Saturday. She leads all MIAC first-year players with 11 points this year.

Stanger (Paynesville, Minn.) found the back of the net three times for a hat trick in Gustavus' come-from-behind 4-3 win over Bethel on Saturday, including a dramatic game-winner with 42 seconds to play. Stanger had four goals in the series and leads all Gustavus players with nine points on the season.

Torpy (Oregon, Wis.) stopped 60 of 61 shots in a pair of close wins against previous MIAC co-leader Augsburg over the weekend. Torpy increased her streak of scoreless minutes in net to 354 before finally surrendering a power-play goal early in the second period of Saturday's 3-1 win. She has allowed just three goals in her last 11 games dating back to the 2017-18 season finale. Torpy moved past Alise Riedel into No. 1 at St. Thomas and into a tie for No. 2 in MIAC history for goalie wins at 54 last week and also had her 16th career shutout - one off the school record - for the 10-0 Tommies, who are currently riding an NCAA-best 23-game unbeaten streak (18-0-5).

The MIAC has had six Team of the Week selections in women's hockey this season. Previous honorees include Hamline forward Bre Simon, Gustavus goalie Amanda DiNella, and Augsburg defender Mackenzie Molnar.
