St. Catherine sophomore Jenna Nagy broke onto the MIAC diving scene a year ago with a tremendous rookie season, and she continued her success with a brilliant showing last weekend at the Grinnell College Invitational in Iowa. Nagy took home titles on both the 1-meter and 3-meter diving boards, while qualifying for the NCAA regional diving zone meet on one board, and narrowly missing that mark on the other. For her performance, the MIAC sports information directors honored Nagy Tuesday with the MIAC Women's Swimming and Diving Athlete-of-the-Week award.

Nagy was victorious on the 1-meter board on Friday at Grinnell with a tremendous score of 406.25, which was 23 points better than the runner-up, and good for qualification to the regional meet. A day later, her score of 402.80 gave her another title on the 3-meter board with a 25-point margin of victory, and she came up just short of another regional qualification. Nagy is the reigning MIAC Diver-of-the-Year and conference champion on the 1- meter board. This season she ranks second on the MIAC's diving leader board for both one and three meters (11 dives).

St. Catherine and its star diver face another busy week, as the team will host a pair of dual meets this weekend at the Butler Center in St. Paul, Minn. Friday, MIAC rival Macalester heads across town to visit SCU for a 6 p.m. meet, and the University of Minnesota-Morris comes to town Saturday to face the Wildcats in an 11 a.m. dual. Three of St. Catherine's final four regular-season meets will be held in its home pool.
