Anne Sikorra, St. Catherine

College of St. Catherine junior Anne Sikorra (Redmond, Wash.) improved on last years runner up finish, met an NCAA provisional qualifying standard by winning the MIAC Hepathlon Championship with 4,214 points.

Track - Concordia-Moorhead College senior Kelli Tranby (Moorhead, Minn.) won the 100 meters at the NDSU Open on Monday, April 22 in a NCAA Provisional national qualifying 12.36 seconds. The time ranks Kelli 18th nationally, #1 in the MIAC and broke the school record. Tranby also qualified provisionally for the NCAA nationals in the long jump at a different NDSU Meet on Sunday, April 28 with a leap of 18'6". She ranks ninth in the nation and first in the MIAC. Kelli is the 2002 MIAC long jump champion and the defending MIAC outdoor long jump champion.
Jenny Ewertz, Saint Benedict

Track - College of Saint Benedict senior Jenny Ewertz (Hunter, ND/Northern Cass HS) was named MIAC female track athlete of the week. Ewertz won both the 100m and 200m on Saturday. She broke her old school record when she ran 12.48 in the 100m. Currently, her time of 12.48 in the 100 and 26.38 in the 200 rank number one in the MIAC. Ewertz also ran on the 4x400 and 4x100 relay team.
Megan Daymont, St. Olaf

Track - St. Olaf College's junior Megan Daymont, (Northfield, Minn.) met two national qualifying standards this week at the Wartburg Select meet. She ran 4:37.88 in the 1500 and 2:14.66 in the 800. Daymont now ranks #1 in both events in the MIAC and number 2nd and 3rd respectively in the NCAA poll. Daymont also ran a leg on the 4 X 400 that ranks #1 in the MIAC with a hand-held split of 58.9 seconds.
